Remember the story of Anthony Wright?
Wright, better known by his nickname Tony the Peanut Man, is well-known in the Holy City as the jovial guy who sells boiled peanuts at Charleston Riverdogs games. Unfortunately, back in April, Tony's equipment and peanuts were destroyed in a fire at his home.
Thankfully, many local businesses helped Tony get back on his feet. The Riverdogs, Triangle, and Piggly Wiggly were a few of the entities that chipped in, but the giving back is not done yet! Home Team BBQ in West Ashley is next in line to help the Peanut Man.
Tonight (Saturday) they will be hosting “Pickin’ Up the Peanuts: a Fundraiser to benefit Tony The Peanut Man.” There will be live music from The Lowcountry Blues Club, a raffle, giveaways, beer pong, corn hole and more. A percentage of sales will go towards helping Tony rebuild. More details about the event can be found HERE.
