With the successful Charleston Pub Crawl now over, it’s time to shift our attention to the next Holy City drinking event! And there are few booze-soaked events more popular than the Ballpark Festival of Beers. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the event and it looks to be as fun as ever.
As usual the festival will be held at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park this Saturday (8/25) and will run from 6 pm – 10 pm.
There are supposed to be over 100 different types of beers to try during the event, plus food trucks, live music, corn hole and more!
Food trucks scheduled to appear: The Magic Cheese Truck, Pot Kettle Black, Tokyo Crepes, and Geechee Island.
The Blue Plantation Band and The Larry David Project will provide the tunes.
An early list of participating brewers is available HERE. My personal highlights are: Abita Brewing (Restoration Pale Ale), Breckenridge Brewering (Agave Wheat), Lagunitas (IPA), SweetWater (Blue), Terrapin Beer Co (Hopsecutioner), and Starr Hill (The Love).
Tickets are $25 at participating Piggly Wiggly locations or $30 at the RiverDogs Box Office. You can also buy them on-line at RILEY PARK EVENTS or RIVERDOGS.com.
