As work progresses on Charleston County’s SC-41 Interim Improvements Project, intermittent nighttime lane closures will be in effect on Dingle Road and US 17 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday, July 8 through Thursday, July 11.
The temporary lane closures will facilitate the widening of Dingle Road at the US 17 intersection to provide a new dedicated left turn lane and a combination right and thru lane.
Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic, and traffic control signs and message boards will be in place to alert drivers.
The SC-41 Interim Improvements Project, now in its first phase, is designed to improve safety and increase efficiency throughout the SC-41 corridor. It includes improvements to the SC-41/US 17/Dingle Road intersection, as well as the SC-41/Joe Rouse Road intersection.
As always, drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area.
