On Friday, February 16, The Peninsula of Charleston, an ownership model life-plan community coming to downtown Charleston in early 2027, celebrated the start of the 2024 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition with a VIP Preview Afternoon Event at their sales gallery on King Street.
The event showcased a presentation by Audubon specialist, Bill Steiner, featuring his collection of Audubon prints, some of which originated in England in the 1820s and 30s. In his presentation, Steiner shared that John James Audubon had a connection to Charleston, revealing that Audubon painted and collected many Lowcountry birds.
