Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary announced the groundbreaking ceremony for its new animal care facility, which will take place on March 28th at 2 pm. The ceremony will be held at Hallie Hill's property (5604 New Road) in Hollywood. The facility will be called The Hub, and its construction represents a significant milestone in Hallie Hill's commitment to providing exceptional care for more than 200 animals.
Since 1988, Hallie Hill has been providing sanctuary for homeless animals and animals with special needs. As Hallie Hill has grown and taken in more animals over the years, it has become harder to facilitate all the essential care needed within the original structures on the Hallie Hill property. The Hub will be a large facility that is the heart of the Sanctuary and will enhance the capacity to provide top-tier care and life-saving programs for the animal residents and animals in the community.
This sizable new facility will include a meet and greet and real-life room, a grooming room, a medical evaluation room, a medical procedures and surgery suite, a small dog room, a senior dog room, a cat holding, dog holding, a multipurpose room, and a staff break room. The meet-and-greet and real-life room will provide a space for adopters and their families to meet their potential new pet. Staff can assess an animal's behavior in a homelike environment, and volunteers can spend time acclimating dogs who have never lived inside a home environment. The grooming room allows for intensive grooming that many animals need upon entry to the sanctuary to remove matted fur and parasites and to provide grooming and bathing before surgical procedures, adoptions, and public events. The medical evaluation room allows animals to receive medical exams, lifesaving vaccinations, and treatments. The medical procedures and surgery suite is where spaying and neutering surgeries will happen on-site, and low-cost spaying and neutering opportunities will be offered to the public who desperately need affordable pet care.
Hallie Hill invites community members, supporters, volunteers, and media representatives to join them as they celebrate the beginning of this vital project. After the ceremony, refreshments will be provided, and attendees will be encouraged to stroll the grounds and learn more about Hallie Hill's dedication to serving animals in need.
