A free health and legal equality workshop will be offered at the 2024 Charleston Black Expo. The dynamic panel discussion will feature a curated group of community leaders, lawyers and medical professionals who will offer a focused examination of health and consumer safety challenges that disproportionately impact the Black community (including risks associated with chemical hair relaxers, other beauty products, diabetes and weight loss medicines and work place exposures); discuss how legal action drives change; offer suggestions on how best to advocate for healthcare and consumer safety; explore the importance of uniting as a community to enhance accessibility; answer audience questions.

The panel will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in Room 11 at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston.
