Ralph Hayes (pictured), Executive Director for the Dorchester Two Educational Foundation in Dorchester School District Two, is the first education foundation leader in South Carolina to earn recognition as a Certified Education Foundation Leader.
Ralph Hayes, CEFL, is among just 98 professionals nationwide to receive this designation through the National Association of Education Foundations. As the industry leader in education foundations, NAEF develops and promotes best practices and advocacy for community investment into public education. The rigorous courses focused on key topics, including board development, leadership and planning, resource development, and marketing.
Mr. Hayes also graduated in December from Together SC’s Carolina Leadership Seminars, which provides best practice and peer guidance in the nonprofit field. The course included 27 nonprofit executives leading participants to transform their organization’s performance and their personal leadership. The sessions offered practical tools and actionable insights to improve leadership, help stewardship for nonprofit organizations, and increase impact.
"I am eager to apply new insight to benefit our Dorchester Two Educational Foundation so we can continue to grow our impact on DDTwo teachers and students,” said Mr. Hayes.
Since 2022, Mr. Hayes has served as a national board member for the National Association of Education Foundations.
