Charleston County EMS was recognized at the South Carolina EMS Association Symposium with the 2023 System of the Year Award (Category II – Large) on Friday, March 8th. This award is a great honor and a testament to the dedication of the department’s staff.
To receive this award, an ambulance service in South Carolina must exemplify outstanding professionalism and service to its community. Examples of these contributions might include:
- Exceptional programs/results in training of personnel.
- Significant contribution to citizen awareness for injury prevention, EMS access, and EMS career opportunities.
- Significant awareness by the community of importance of the local EMS system and/or professionalism of employees.
