On Friday, June 18th, Charleston County Government Offices will close at 12 pm in observance of Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in all of the United States. The bill was signed into law this afternoon by President Joe Biden.
“Due to the late afternoon designation of the holiday, we decided to keep our offices open in the morning so residents would be able to pay taxes and conduct other necessary County business,” said Charleston County Administrator Bill Tuten. “I also feel it is important to commemorate this holiday so I have decided to close at noon.”
Residents can continue to pay taxes online and utilize other online services. Our most popular forms and service requests can be found online here: https://www.charlestoncounty.org/clickandgo.php
