It has been 10 years since 9/11/01, but the memory of that day is still very fresh in many people’s minds. If you’d like to participate in the remembrance of that day, the city of North Charleston will be hosting an event on Friday, September 9 that you may want to attend.
The event will be at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center and is free to the public. Additional details can be found here.
There are three other local events of note – one in Summerville, one in Mt. Pleasant, and the other on the Citadel’s campus. The CSO Spiritual Ensemble will have a tribute concert dedicated to 9/11 First Responders at 7pm on Saturday at the Summerville Baptist Church. The event is free, but does require tickets to attend. More details can be found here.
The Liberty Tap Room & Grill in Mt. Pleasant will host a charity fundraiser from 7-10 pm on Saturday night. The event will be put on by the T-Bonz Group. There will be live music and food from Kaminsky’s, Liberty, Pearlz and T-Bonz. Click here for more information.
