Last summer, the American Lung Association in SC launched this youth initiative to provide a comprehensive approach to enlightening students in our community about the significance of lung health, particularly the hazards associated with youth vaping, while also addressing financial barriers associated with rising back-to-school costs. Thanks to overwhelming community support, they were able to provide 250 backpacks to underserved students, serving 83 families. This year, their goal is to double their impact and distribute 500+ backpacks and supplies.
