MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The celebration of America’s Independence Day is associated with fireworks, family and good times, and NS Promos, the Myrtle Beach area’s premier event management company, is offering the opportunity to add fitness to ways you can enjoy the holiday.
NS Promos is hosting a pair of 5K races built around Independence Day, providing everyone a chance to exercise prior to firing up the grill for good times with family and friends.
On July 4, the 15th annual Independence Day 5K presented by Maguire Law Firm will be held at Market Common in Myrtle Beach. The race, which is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants from 30+ states, will begin at 7 a.m. and include the Uncle Sam’s 1-Mile Fun Run and the Stars and Stripes Kids’ Dash.
Race entry, which includes a t-shirt and finisher medal for 5K participants, is $45 for anyone who registers by July 1. Cost increases to $50 on July 2.

Runners and walkers will enjoy the USA Track & Field certified course that winds through Market Common. Participants can celebrate their accomplishment at a post-race party that will include Bojangles biscuits.
On July 6, NS Promos will host the sixth annual Red, White and Blue Run/Walk presented by United Bank. The 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m. and take runners through Barefoot Landing, one of the Grand Strand’s most popular tourist attractions.
Cost of entry, which includes a t-shirt and finisher medal for 5K participants, is $45 for anyone who registers by July 3. Price increases to $50 on July 4. The race, which will also include a Stars and Stripes Kids’ Dash, is open to all runners and walkers.

The Red, White and Blue 5K is capped at 500 entries, so people are encouraged to register early, ensuring their spot in a race that has quickly emerged as one of the area’s most popular.
Both races will present awards for the top three male and female finishers, overall masters winners, and the top 3 finishers in each age division.
