The Charleston Place will welcome Sushi Chef Shin Horiguchi to the Lowcountry for a Sushi Omakase pop-up at the Thoroughbred Club. Chef Horiguchi, who was born and raised in Tokyo and now travels the country to host sushi-focused events, will pop-up at The Charleston Place four times throughout 2024 to offer a fun and interactive experience for Thoroughbred Club guests.
The first series begins February 22nd and runs through March 2nd. Guests can choose from an expansive Omakase Sushi menu, complete with appetizers and Nigiri, Sashimi, Maki Rolls, and Handrolls, all made to order. Chef Horiguchi will be stationed in the lounge at the Thoroughbred Club, giving guests a front row seat to his artistry and the ability to ask him questions about his craft. Later this year, Chef Horiguchi will return for three more installments: March 21-April 2; June 20-30; and October 3-12.
Sushi enthusiasts can enjoy Chef Horiguchi’s menu in the traditional omakase-style, with multiple courses, or sashimi, nigiri, and rolls a la carte. To compliment the sushi meal, the Thoroughbred Club’s beverage team offers a variety of Japanese beers and sakes for pairing.
The experience is available for reservation on Resy and walk ins are welcome. For more information, visit: www.charlestonplace.com/dining.
