Firefly Distillery is releasing a new whiskey to kick off the holiday season. The new Steel Feathers Blackberry Whiskey will first be available at the distillery’s "Blackberry Friday" event on Friday, November 24th from 12 pm to 6 pm. In addition to the new product release, guests can enjoy discounted tastings, sip on specialty Black Friday cocktails, enjoy music from DJ Cabana Vibez, and start holiday shopping at the Firefly gift shop.
“We are immensely proud of our innovative and unique blend, Steel Feathers Blackberry Whiskey, that has truly been a labor of love for everyone here at Firefly,” said Scott Newitt, co-owner of Firefly Distillery. “This is just the beginning of more flavored whiskeys to come down the line under our new Steel Feathers label.”
Steel Feathers Blackberry Whiskey is the newest in the lineup of Firefly Distillery’s brown spirits including the Distillery Expressions Bourbon, Bend & Steel American Whiskey, and specialty single-barrel bourbon releases. The new flavored whiskey features blackberries from the Southeast with tasting notes of vanilla, raisin, and oak. Hand-bottled and small batch, Steel Feathers Blackberry Whiskey will be available exclusively at the distillery in Park Circle starting on Black Friday. To celebrate the release, the tasting menu will feature a sampling of the new spirit, and the bar menu will debut the “Blackberry Friday” cocktail made with Steel Feathers Blackberry Whiskey, fresh lemonade, orange bitters, mint, and blackberries.
Free to attend, the Black Friday event will offer discounted tastings on a first-come-first-served basis, as well as cocktails for purchase from various satellite bars throughout the distillery. Visitors can enjoy bites from Big Daddy's LoCo Food Truck from 12 pm to 4 pm.
