Born and raised on a farm in rural South Carolina where he lives to this day with his wife, Carroll Brown was first influenced musically in church and from what scatterings he could pick up from the night time radio. His mother was the church pianist and taught him his first chords on the guitar. This gift of music remained his constant companion. His first performances were playing guitar and singing in his pre-teen years in his home church. During his career Carroll lived in Nashville, Tennessee where he worked with numerous songwriters and helped produce nationally released records. The 80’s brought Carroll to Charleston where he gave countless live performances and started a successful recording studio. Now, with more than forty nine years in the music world, Carroll Brown possesses a wealth of musical knowledge and a vast repertoire of songs and stories.This year will mark his 23rd annual holiday show. Carroll will be performing with Marci Shore, Michael Murray, and Bob Sachs. The live acoustic program will include familiar, spiritual, secular, and Celtic traditional seasonal songs, complimented by story telling of family holiday gatherings and Christmas then and now. Carroll and his band aim to deliver an interactive and memory making show that will be sure to fill all with the holiday spirit.There will cash bar of beer and wine.
