Charleston County Parks' popular Summer Entertainment Series is back. The nine-week show series, held at James Island and Wannamaker County Parks, kicks off June 14th and runs through August 3rd.
Intended for children and their parents or chaperones, the Summer Entertainment Series features different entertainers and presenters each week, giving families an opportunity to enjoy entertainment in the parks. Shows are held at 10 am on Wednesdays at James Island County Park's Edisto Hall, and on Thursdays at 10 am in North Charleston's Wannamaker County Park's Cypress Hall. Arrive early for good seating.
Admission to each showing is $4 per child in advance, or $5 on the day of the event if it is not sold out. The series is recommended for ages 4 and up. Ages 2 and under and chaperones or parents are free with child admission. At least one chaperone per eight children is required. Advance registration is recommended as sessions may sell out in advance. Registration is available by calling 843-795-4386.

Join Deninufay African Dance & Drum Production as they pay homage to their West African ancestors through the beautiful, melodic and extravagant performing arts of West African drumming and dancing. Take a journey with the Gullah Geechee people of the sea island coast as they embark on culture and heritage through movement, rhythm and sweet sounds of their unique instruments.
Regular park admission ($2 per person) applies to individuals and groups that are not pre-registered for the Summer Entertainment Series or other daily programs.
