All families are invited to Mary Martin Gallery on June 10th for the second annual “Children’s Art Day,” which will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at 103 Broad Street.
Kids of all ages and their grown-ups are invited to this free, family event to meet and learn artistic techniques from working artists and to see a nationally recognized art gallery with sculptures and paintings by artists from all over the world.
All supplies will be provided and participants are welcome to take their supplies home with them.
Gallery owner and president, Mary Martin, is passionate about the importance of art in everyone's life including in the lives of children. She is an adherent to Picasso's conviction that “every child is an artist.” Mary has been bringing artists to her Charleston galleries, and mentoring and supporting artists and the arts community in Charleston for 20 years.
