The weekend is here and I hope you all have a fantastic time over the next two days! If you are in need of some plans, I’ve got a few highlights for you!
Saturday
–Holy City Brewing will be holding a Food Truck Rodeo at their headquarters on Dorchester Road. There will be music and, of course, food and Holy City beer! It’s being held from 3-9pm and is FREE (!!).
If you bring 3 canned foods you’ll get a FREE Holy City Brewing coozie. Also, if you ride the bus there and show your ticket, you’ll get a FREE pint glass!
This is probably the highlight of the weekend and I’m going to try and see ya’ll there!
-House of Brews and Closed for Business will be hosting their respective Oktoberfests throughout the day.
–The 2nd Annual Band Together: A Concert for a Cause will be held at the Music Farm. All proceeds from the event go to cancer research. The lineup features the popular Gaslight Street. Doors open at 7 and tickets are still available.
-The Holy City Beard & Moustache Society will be holding a supply drive for Teacher’s Supply Closet at the Recovery Room on Upper King. The event starts at 8pm.
-There is a 5k where you can wear a Super Hero Costume. The event is sponsored by Yoga Benefits Kids. Be there at 7 am to join in the fun!
–A biker event, named the Paw-ker Run, starts at 10 am. The 8th edition of this event will once again benefit the Summerville SPCA.
Sunday
-“Sunday Funday” takes on a new meaning at the Vendue Inn. Charleston Mix will be hosting a party there for the launch of their new Bold & Spicy Bloody Mary Mix. There will be $2 Bloodys featuring the new mix from 12-3pm.
-The Cocktail Club on King Street will be throwing a Block Party starting at 7 pm. Tickets are $20.
-Middleton Place will be home to “Mozart in the South.” The classical concert starts at 7 pm.
-If classical music isn’t your style, you can close out your weekend by rocking out at the Tin Roof. The West Ashley bar has a with HotChaCha and Summer People.
-There will be a Bike Scavenger Hunt at the Mixson Barn on Marblehead Lane. The event is sponsored by Charleston Moves and will be raising awareness about bike safety. The event runs from 7 until 10pm
