Trueline, an entertainment venue scheduled to opening in the spring of 2025, officially broke ground this month in Greenville, SC. Trueline aims to redefine entertainment venue experiences, blending music, immersive art, special events, and inspiring performances. Showcasing their spirit of innovation and premium entertainment, the groundbreaking ceremony featured the demolition of the old building facade exploding into a display of confetti to mark the start of construction.
Founder and CEO Michael Grozier brings 30 years of live venue management experience to this project. Grozier opened 25 venues and managed more than 100 music and entertainment establishments in over 40 cities, including the iconic House of Blues. His vision for Trueline is deeply rooted in his extensive background in and passion for the entertainment venue industry. Trueline’s flagship venue in Greenville is the culmination of his career's work. It will be a one-of-a-kind, must-play venue in a must-visit city.
“Trueline is built on the ethos of the community,” said Michael Grozier, CEO and Founder of Trueline. “It will incorporate new technology and modern amenities, yes, but still, at the heart, it’s about love - Love for the fans, love for the music, and love for the artists who create. We are proud to be a part of the Upstate community and ready to build a place for people to enjoy for many years to come.”
At the groundbreaking, guests arrived to the Greenville Symphony Orchestra playing songs ranging from classical standards to rock anthems. Notable guests and speakers included Mayor Knox White, Heath Dillard of Visit Greenville, Dr. Gail Awan of Urban League of the Upstate, Michael Grozier CEO and Founder of Trueline, and emcee J. Dew, along with celebrity musicians, Josh Turner, Marcus King, Dr. Mac Arnold, John Barry, Bill Anderson, Leah Seawright, Mark Hernond (Alabama), Dixiana, and many others. Investors, community leaders, and guests also enjoyed live music played by Randomonium and catering by Larkins along with beverages served by Local Honey Coffee and Barista Alley.
During the event, Trueline was awarded by the SC Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame with a Certificate of Collaboration to mark the official commencement of their partnership presented by country music singer, Josh Turner. This was the first of many awards and designations presented by the South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame on the day of their annual awards ceremony being hosted at Furman University. The groundbreaking event united the community to celebrate the Upstate's latest leap forward in music and entertainment. Trueline’s construction, in partnership with Clayton Construction Company, will proceed in earnest with a projected completion timeline for first quarter 2025.
With a capacity of 1,700 on two levels, including 175 fixed balcony seats overlooking the main concert hall, the venue will spark the emergence of concert bookings that bring acclaimed national touring artists to the market multiple times each week. This development is set to elevate music, culture and tourism in the region while nurturing the careers of local talent. It will serve as a place for gatherings among friends daily. The venue's versatile performance spaces, equipped with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and video facilities, will cater to performers of all genres as well as a variety of events from concerts and comedy shows to corporate gatherings and special events.
VIP memberships and bookings for special events will be available early fall of 2024. Investment opportunities are now available.
