Charleston County Parks is thrilled to welcome all music lovers to the third concert of the 2024 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series on Friday, July 12.
The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series at James Island County Park is fun for the whole family. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for seating in the beautiful meadow. The event gates will open at 7:30 p.m. and music begins at 8 p.m. Gates will close to incoming traffic at 10:30 p.m. and music will end at 11 p.m.
Each event in the series features a different band of traditional old-school roots reggae with a new-school attitude in a beautiful outdoor setting. On July 12, the vibes will be set by Rastacoustic. The Boone, NC based band is known for their Appalachian reggae that is inspired by authentic roots of reggae fused with the natural, acoustic sound of classic Appalachian music.
Open to all ages, The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series offers not only great music but also a variety of food options from local food trucks and vendors. Beverages will also be available on site including beer, wine, and Coke products. A list of food and craft vendors can be seen at charlestoncountyparks.com.
Tickets will be sold per vehicle (up to 15 people). Advance tickets are $20 per vehicle and day-of tickets are $30 if the event is not sold out. This event is free to all Gold Pass holders (Gold Passes will not be available for purchase on-site at the event). Tickets are available for purchase HERE.
The final concert of the season will be held Friday, Aug. 2. Concerts will take place rain or shine. No outside alcohol or coolers are permitted in the event. Dogs are welcome, but must remain leashed at all times.
