The annual Living Green Festival will make its “debut” on Sunday, September 18th from noon until 5 pm at the James Island County Park. The event, which was previously called the Carolina Green Fair, p rovides education and resources for protecting and preserving our natural environment .
Despite the name change, the Living Green Fest will feature some of the same programs and activities as in years past.
Some of this year’s highlights include:
- Artisans
- Bosch Community Grant Winners (2 pm)
- Center for Birds of Prey exhibit
- Charleston Animal Society adoptions
- Climbing wall
- Cooking demos by local chefs
- Environmentall-friendly vendors
- Exhibitors
- KidZone & Eco-Carnival ($5 to play all day)
- Mountain biking
- Second annual Branch of Peace Foundation Peace Walk at 2:30 p.m.
- Slacklining
- SUP fitness on the lake
The Living Green Fest only costs attendees the $2 admission fee needed to get into the park (as always, gold pass members get in free).
