Sisters Gracie & Lacy are teaming up with vocalist and storyteller Ann Caldwell, and the Joe Clarke Jazz Trio on Saturday, October 17th at Forte Jazz Lounge for a special Charleston 350 Show. The event is presented in commemoration the city's milestone birthday.
Enjoy a mix of jazz and original musical performances, traditional dance styles, and history. Learn how Gracie & Lacy's Huguenot ancestor escaped France disguised as a fruit seller and settled in Charleston over three centuries ago; discover lost music of the Lowcountry with songs from the vaults of Fud Livingston and Robert Cathcart; and learn how the Jenkins Orphanage Band impacted the spread of Jazz music around the world.
Shows will run at 7 pm and 9 pm – audiences can watch in-person at Forte Jazz Lounge, or via the club's livestream. Tickets can be purchased at GracieAndLacy.com
