Local music blog Extra Chill will host a show at The Royal American on Saturday, August 10th featuring Charleston's newest residents, Daddy's Beemer. They’ll be joined by the Holy City’s Abstract – That Rapper and Greenville's Darby Wilcox.
Here’s what Extra Chill had to say about each of the artists:
“This is the first local show for Daddy's Beemer since moving to town back in April, and they're bringing with them the indie rock energy that fans have come to adore, along with new music that they've been working on out at bass player Wesley Heaton's family property in Denmark, SC.
More info on Daddy’s Beemer’s recent move can be found in our exclusive interview here.
Abstract – That Rapper has had an extremely successful past year, winning the 2018 Charleston City Paper music award for Best Local Hip-Hop artist and performing an array of notable shows including a Piccolo Spoleto Concert Cruise last month.
Darby Wilcox is running strong off the 2018 release of the full-length 11:11 on Real South Records, which came in at number 6 on Extra Chill's Best South Carolina Albums of 2018 list. She'll be performing with her band The Peep Show, bringing some of the state's best folk rock to The Royal American.”
