Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) will co-host Garden and Grow: Vegetables with Christopher Burtt, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, for Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 1 pm to 2 pm at Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Rd.
Burtt, who is a Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, will discuss the importance of pruning in this season. He has worked with Clemson University for over five years with previous experience in nursery and landscaping. He coordinates the Tri-County Master Gardener program and assists homeowners and nurseries with technical support.
"Spring is fast approaching – meaning we can start to think about what vegetables we want to grow," said Burtt. "We will discuss the basics of growing vegetables as well as some tricks to better grow vegetables."
