Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) will co-host Garden and Grow: Pruning Class with Christopher Burtt, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, for Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties, on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 1 - 2 p.m. at Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Rd., Goose Creek.
Burtt, who is a Clemson University Cooperative Extension Area Horticulture Agent, will discuss the importance of pruning in this season. He has worked with Clemson University for over five years with previous experience in nursery and landscaping. He coordinates the Tri-County Master Gardener program and assists homeowners and nurseries with technical support.
"Spring is fast approaching – meaning the time for cleanup is now – specifically pruning," said Burtt. "Since pruning can be intimidating, we will go over the rules, tricks, and issues to avoid."
