This might make vaping less happening to you, but that’s the trick.Studies have seen that this move triggered many people effectively to quit vaping. In one survey, 8.1% of the respondents revealed that they stopped using the device after the ban on flavored vape.Recently, four countries- Denmark, Estonia, Slovenia, and Latvia have taken such steps to ban flavored vapes in 2024. Florida too is going to join other states including New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Utah, and Rohde Island in similar regulations.Advertising Restrictions
The year should witness another update on vaping laws with stricter marketing and advertising practices. This includes banning ads for inaccessible places and certain marketing tactics. Now you’ll get more tightly controlled advertising for vape products.Recently, Texas has declared Protecting Children from Electronic Cigarette Advertising Act. It prohibits all sorts of marketing that can draw a minor’s attention. The UK government has also come up with updated vaping laws in 2024. Under the Tobacco Products Directive, they prohibit ads for nicotine vapes that aren’t licensed as medicines on different mediums such as television, newspapers, magazines, the internet, emails, and text messages. This year, Australia is going to pass the Therapeutic Goods and Other Legislation Amendment (Vaping Reforms) Bill. - Health Hazard (exclamation mark)
- Environment (dead trees and fish)
- Skull and Crossbones

- “This product contains nicotine which is a highly addictive substance.”
- “Keep out of reach of children.”
- Warnings must cover 30% of the two largest surfaces of the packaging
Age Restrictions:
“Not for sale to persons under the age of 18.”Font, Size, and Legibility:
- Minimum font size: 2mm for packaging 10-200 cm², 1.6mm for packaging below 10 cm²

Taxation
Governments are now imposing higher taxes on vape products. Not only it make the devices super costly but also helps discourage teenagers from using them.As of 2024, 31 states and the District of Columbia have special taxes on vaping products. However, States use different methods when it comes to tax vaping. For instance, they can impose tax depending on the price that manufacturers, wholesalers, or retailers set. Authorities can also base tax on the amount of e-liquid.- Among states that impose wholesale price-based taxes, Minnesota got the highest at 95%, with Vermont a little close behind at 92%. Wyoming stands at 15% and Connecticut has the lowest at 10%.
- Recently, the UK announced to start of a new tax on vape products in October 2026. The tax will be £1 for every 10ml of zero nicotine vapes, £2 for low-nicotine ones, and £3 for high-nicotine ones. This can surely double the price of high-nicotine vapes and bring in £500 million by 2029. But it also can demotivate teenagers from buying vapes as it’ll cost a fortune.
- Indonesia has also added a new 10% tax on vaping products based on the current consumption tax.
- Belgium has imposed a tax on e-liquids at 0.15 euros per milliliter. The Finance Minister says it’ll work to discourage 15-24-year-olds from using.
