Credit One Stadium, in partnership with the Daniel Island Community Fund, will host Skate The Stadium, a new custom-built rink for ice skating at the Daniel Island tennis stadium. Visitors are invited to come celebrate the season with skating, cozy firepits, seasonal concessions, and special holiday events.
Skate the Stadium opens on Friday, December 2nd and will be open during the following dates in December:
- Thursdays and Fridays from 5 pm to 10 pm
- Saturdays from 10 am to 9:30 pm
- Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm
The rink will be closed on Christmas Day and Friday, December 30th.
“Our goal is to create thoughtful, unique experiences that bring joy to the communities we serve,” said Bob Moran, President of Charleston Tennis. “By building an outdoor skating rink for the holidays we hope to create another way for people to engage in a new holiday tradition that encourages movement and social connection.”
Cookie samplers, s’mores kits, cinnamon sugar pretzels, and classic concessions will be available for purchase. You can also enjoy hot coca, cider, coffee, and access to a full bar featuring seasonal beer and specialty cocktails.
Tickets are $10 per person, which includes the skate rental and a 1-hour skating session. Non-skaters may enter for free and special assistive devices will be on hand for those who need it. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition, Credit One Stadium is a drop off site for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, so any guests that bring a toy will get $2 off a skating session.
