WalletHub recently released its study on 2024's Best Baseball Cities and Charleston ranked as being the 5th Best Midsize City for fans.
In order to determine the rankings, WalletHub compared over 330 U.S. cities with at least one college or professional baseball team across 31 key metrics, ranging from the performance of its teams to average ticket prices and fan engagement.

- 119th – Performance Level of College Baseball Team(s)
- 32nd – Min. Season Ticket Price for MiLB Game
- 157th – Min. Season Ticket Price for College Baseball Game

- 100th – College-Baseball Fan Engagement
Charleston ranks 30th overall and 5th among midsize cities.
