The Charleston Battery and Charleston Animal Society (CAS) have partnered for a dog-friendly soccer game at MUSC Health Stadium on Saturday, September 3rd. The event, Pups at the Pitch, will take place during the Charleston Battery's match against the Rochester Rhinos, and will include many dog-inspired activities.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their dog along for the game to help raise money and awareness for CAS and the I Am Caitlyn Anti-Cruelty Fund. A portion of every dog ticket sold will be donated to this cause.
Caitlyn, a now-famous survivor of animal abuse, was found over a year ago in North Charleston with her muzzle taped shut. Pups at the Pitch will celebrate Caitlyn's progress by having her serve as the honorary captain for the match. She’ll even walk out for the coin toss.
Tickets to Pups at the Pitch are $20 and include an East Bleacher seat for one human and one dog, as well as entry into the Very Important Pups (VIP) tent on the North Concourse. The VIP tent will have giveaways (treats, bowls, toys, and trips to doggie daycare), shade, and doggie pools.
In addition,CAS will have dogs available for adoption during the match.
Tickets can be purchased online or by calling our box office, (843) 971-GOAL. Click here for more information.
