The Charleston Battery announced Tuesday the return of Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, July 9th. The night returns for the 2022 season after the overwhelming success of last season's match celebrating military members of the Charleston community.
The club welcomes all active duty, reserve and retired military members, Department of Defense professionals and their families to the Saturday night match as the Black and Yellow take on Birmingham Legion FC. A limited number of complimentary tickets will be available for military members and their families courtesy of the night's community partners.
“Charleston's military community is such an indelible part of the city, we cannot wait to celebrate our military members and their families during our Military Appreciation Night on July 9 at Patriots Point,” said Scott Krenitski, Battery president of business operations.
In partnership with Hendrick Volvo Cars of Charleston, the club will welcome military members and their families onto the field during pregame festivities and halftime to be recognized. The Battery will also unveil a new line of military-themed merchandise, including a new military t-shirt and military supporters scarf, with a portion of proceeds from both items supporting the Palmetto Military Support Group and their work bridging the gap between the greater Charleston community and military members through volunteering, fundraising, engagement and education.
Tickets for the Military Appreciation Night are available now via SeatGeek, the Battery's exclusive digital ticketing provider, or by visiting tickets.charlestonbattery.com. Active duty, reserve and retired military members and DoD professionals can take advantage of complimentary tickets by reaching out to the Palmetto Military Support Group or by signing up for limited free tickets here.
