Democratic State House candidate John Moffett today announced his campaign raised over $40,000 in less than a month.
Moffett is running for the State House in District 110, challenging Republican Tom Hartnett, who has repeatedly supported restrictive abortion measures – including the state’s six-week abortion ban – and opposed gun safety legislation.
“We’re off to a great start. It’s a testament to voters’ desire for honest, forward-thinking leadership that won’t cower to special interests and political extremes,” Moffett said. “Tom Hartnett claims to stand for Lowcountry values, public safety, and personal freedom, but his votes to take away a woman’s right to make choices about her own body and oppose common sense gun safety legislation tell a different story. It’s time to solve problems, not create more. I’m ready to work tirelessly for the people of house district 110.”
