For the second straight reporting period, Democratic candidate for State House in District 110, John Moffett has significantly outraised his Republican incumbent opponent Tom Hartnett.
According to official filings with the South Carolina Ethics Commission, Moffett raised $32,285.34 in the second quarter of 2024 and has $61,777.86 on hand.
According to the same filings, Hartnett raised $13,291.24 in the second quarter and has $15,514.70 on hand.
“Every day voters are telling me they are tired of extremists in Columbia like Hartnett who ignore the needs of our community and instead vote with the far-right upstate crowd to ban all abortions, make it easier for criminals to get guns, and ignore our infrastructure needs," Moffett said. "I’ll be a moderate, common-sense voice who will work hard for Charleston County. I’ll leave the extremism and grandstanding to others.”
