From October 10th through 12th, veterans of the USS Yorktown will reunite once again on the aircraft carrier they once called home. The reunion brings veterans back together who served on the USS Yorktown from World War II through the Vietnam War.
As with every reunion, the public is invited to a Meet and Greet on Saturday, October 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This year, veterans from the USS Bennington (CV-20) will join them. This is a rare opportunity for visitors to learn (from those who experienced it first-hand) all about these aircraft carriers, their storied histories, and what it was like to live and work on them.
The Meet and Greet is included in the admission to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. Members of the media are additionally invited to attend the Memorial Service at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 11.
