Trident United Way (TUW) is excited to announce leadership promotions and new hires within the organization’s Communications team. These changes underscore TUW’s commitment to excellence and strategic growth in their mission of supporting families across the Tri-County area.
CHRISTY BOUDOLF has been appointed to the role of Chief Connections Officer. Boudolf, who has served as a key member of TUW’s leadership team for nine years as the Vice President of Communications and Volunteer Engagement, will continue to lead the Communications, Volunteer Engagement and Events Department in her expanded role.
In this new position, Boudolf will focus on enhancing TUW’s community connections, expanding volunteer programs, organizing impactful events and building advocacy partnerships. She leads a department of seven professionals supporting Communications, Volunteer Engagement and Events for the organization.
Prior to joining TUW in 2015, Boudolf held marketing roles at Piggly Wiggly in Charleston, The Island Packet in Hilton Head and Food Network in Atlanta. She has a M.M.C. in Mass Communication with a focus on Advertising from the University of Georgia and a B.S. in Business Marketing from Winthrop University.
“Christy’s promotion reflects her outstanding contributions and leadership in developing effective outreach programs and forging meaningful partnerships for our organization,” remarked President and CEO of Trident United Way DJ Hampton. “Her expertise and dedication to building strong community ties make her exceptionally qualified to step into this expanded role.”
KELLI MORSE advances to Director of Digital Communications, where she will lead efforts to elevate TUW’s digital outreach through strategic social media management, video content creation and photography. In addition, she will oversee the planning, execution and output of all digital communications efforts for the organization.
Morse joined TUW in 2019 as the Digital Communications Manager and later Senior Manager of Digital and Internal Communications. Previous positions include Verge Health and Kate Spade, both in Charleston, and People Fluent in Waltham, MA. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Northeastern University.
“Kelli is a true ‘digital ninja’ who has greatly contributed to our success in reaching the community and telling the stories of our Tri-County neighbors,” said Hampton. “She continues to be a driving force in celebrating the incredible work happening with our local nonprofit partners, and at Trident United Way.”
DEVON WADE is stepping into the role of Director of Advocacy and Public Relations. In this position she will spearhead the development of TUW’s forthcoming advocacy and public policy initiatives while continuing to oversee media relations, content creation, brand voice and storytelling for the organization.
Wade joined TUW in 2022 as the Content and Communications Manager and previously held roles at Cardozo School of Law and the public relations and marketing agency Maloney & Fox, both in New York City. She holds an M.A. in Marketing and Strategic Communications from New York University and a B.A. in Creative Writing from The New School.
“Devon’s dedication and top-quality work have consistently impressed us and positioned TUW beautifully in the community,” Hampton commented. “As an organization, we have always sought to support and uplift the power of our Tri-County citizens to effect community change. Building out a public policy agenda is a natural extension of that calling, and we look forward to implementing this work into the scope of our broader mission.”
NEW HIRES
Additionally, the TUW Communications team has hired three new staff members.
Angela Hiltbrunner has taken the role of Digital Media and Design Manager; Sarah Makuta has joined as Communications Manager and Lee Anne Stone was brought on as Events Manager.
“As Trident United Way continues to grow and evolve with the needs of our community, these well-deserved promotions and new hires will help to position our organization to drive even greater impact within the Tri-County community.” said Hampton.
