Travel & Leisure named Charleston as America’s 17th Best Beer City in their latest issue. The ranking was based on the votes of the magazine’s readers.
Despite Charleston’s inclusion on the list, Travel & Leisure didn’t provide much background on the city’s craft beer scene. Their entry only mentioned the award-winning Holy City Brewing, while neglecting the Westbrook, Palmetto, and COAST Brewing Companies (not to mention some of their newer counterparts).
Portland, Oregon was the top choice of the magazine’s readers, while Savannah, our neighbor to the south, came in at #13.
