Shopping With Friends, an annual fundraiser benefiting Lowcountry AIDS Services, is celebrating its 10th year by adding an additional event to this year’s lineup. A pre-shopping “Casablanca Night” Ball will be held on Friday, December 6th from 7 pm until 10 pm at Hibernian Hall (105 Meeting St.).
The ball includes a Moroccan Banquet, open bar, and a live jazz performance from local musician Charlton Singleton and a 14-piece band. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best 1940s “glamor attire.” Tickets are $80 and available here. The Shopping With Friends event takes place the following day throughout the Charleston area. Designated “Red Ribbon” tetailers and restaurants will donate 10% of every dollar spent to Lowcountry AIDS Services. Over the last 10 years, Shopping With Friends says they have raised more than $725,000 to “provide support groups, education, counseling, legal services, housing assistance, nutrition counseling and HIV testing, prevention education and more.”
