Makeready, a nation hotel, restaurant, and retail shop operator, on Wednesday announced Emeline will open May 2020 in downtown Charleston and is now accepting reservations.
Owner and developer Rockbridge “designed Emeline from the ground up to create a truly unique and independent experience,” according to Makeready. The hotel will have 212 all-king bed guest rooms, including 128 luxury suites and 16 double king bed accommodations. Each room is complemented with contemporary touches such as branded embroidered linens from Matouk, premium in-room amenities from Red Flower, custom vinyl on Crosley turntables, and more.
“Emeline has been thoughtfully designed with every aspect in mind to delight guests and locals alike with charm and wit,” Christine Magrann, COO of Makeready, said. “A consummate host, Emeline's tenacious team exemplifies the warmth and hospitality for which Charleston is known. We look forward to inviting the local community to Emeline in May.”
The hotel's restaurants and bars will include Frannie & The Fox, a wood-fired eatery, and Clerks Coffee Company.
Additionally, Emeline will be home to Makeready's luxury retail experience, Keep Shop, and feature a state-of-the-art fitness center. There will also be a courtyard, greenhouse, more than 13,000 square feet of flexible function space, and more.
