The Mayors’ Commission on Homelessness and Affordable Housing today announced details about the 2024 Housing and Homelessness Summit, which will consist of solutions-focused panel discussions on affordable housing and homelessness.
The City of Charleston is asking residents to attend the event on Wednesday, May 22nd from 9 am to 2 pm at the Berkeley – Charleston – Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) located at 5790 Casper Padgett Way, North Charleston. Residents will be able to learn firsthand from area mayors about what the region is doing to combat homelessness.
The Mayors’ Commission on Homelessness and Affordable Housing is an advocacy group whose mission is "to ensure safe, decent, affordable housing and services for homeless persons, those at-risk of becoming homeless and very low-, low- and moderate- income citizens, to ensure the services they need are available so that they achieve their potential."
