Are you be the match that could save a young boy’s life? There’s only one way to find out – stop by The Wickliffe House on Wednesday, September 24th for a B one Marrow Donation Drive and Silent Auction.
This summer, a young boy from Seneca named Lachlan Tannery was diagnosed with JMML – a rare, chronic form of leukemia. Unfortunately, this type of leukemia can not be beaten with chemotherapy on its own. Doctors say Lachlan also needs a bone marrow transplant. Sadly, a matching donor has not yet been found, but YOU could be the person that saves his life!
A simple cheek swab is all is takes to find out if you are a match. Anyone that is 18 – 44 years old and in good health can join the Be The Match Registry. If you can’t participate during the September 24th event, you can join the national registry online.
The Charleston event will also include a silent auction that will offset the foundation’s costs. Be sure to stop in, get your cheek swapped and bid on some great items!
