Lowcountry AIDS Services (with an assist from South Carolina's new legislation that allows charity raffles for certain nonprofits) has created the Red Ribbon Mega Raffle, and one lucky person will get a check for $20,000.
Here's how it works:
- Purchase a ticket for $100 either online or by texting MEGARAFFLE to 41444
- First prize will be a cash prize of $20,000. Second prize will be a cash prize of $10,000. There will be two third-prize winners of $5,000 each.
- Only 1,000 tickets will be sold.
- The prize drawing is scheduled for Friday, May 20th.
Proceeds from the raffle will support Lowcountry AIDS Services in its work helping people living with HIV/AIDS in the greater Charleston area as well as its community outreach, education and prevention programs.
