Lakeland Capital, a Charleston-based private, multifamily investment company active in select East Coast markets, recently announced a new hire joining the company’s Charleston office.
Andrew Yancey has joined Lakeland Capital as senior accounting manager. In this role, Yancey will lead Lakeland’s corporate and investor accounting functions, overseeing financial controls and managing property accounting across the firm’s growing portfolio.
Originally from Charlottesville, Va., Yancey earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from The College of Charleston and his master’s degree in accounting with a concentration in financial reporting and assurance from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. Prior to this role, Yancey served as investment accountant at Greystar, the nation’s largest apartment owner, where he specialized in joint ventures for student housing and single-family rental assets. He also gained valuable experience as an intern with Moody & O’Neal CPAs and Virginia National Bank.
