Lakeland Capital, a Charleston-based private, multifamily investment company active in select East Coast markets, recently announced a new hire joining the company’s Charleston office.
Brian Allen has joined Lakeland Capital as senior construction manager. In this role, Allen will oversee the company’s improvement programs in the Southeast, enhance the efficiency of the maintenance and repair operations and support asset management efforts. This position is integral to Lakeland Capital's vertically integrated platform, which includes specialized in-house personnel who optimize outcomes and maximize returns throughout the value chain, as well as property management services provided in the Northeast and Virginia.
Originally from Roanoke, Va., Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in intelligence and security studies from The Citadel and his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in real estate from Tulane University. Prior to this role, Allen served in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry platoon sergeant and utilities section manager for seven years, worked as a construction management intern at Turner Construction and served as development project manager at NORF Companies in New Orleans for more than two years.
