Johns Island eatery KISS Cafe announced that they will be expanding to add more seating and increase their kitchen space.
Owner Leslie Mastranunzio said the restaurant is expanding by over 1,300 sq.-feet, which will lead to about 30 more seats. In addition, the increased kitchen space will help the cafe launch house-made, NY-style bagels. Chef Tim Wickey is a native Long Islander and bagels were a staple in his daily commute to the city. However, he says he has yet to find a top-notch bagel here, so he decided KISS needed to make their own.
Mastranunzio says the buildout has already started with an anticipated completion of early Summer (likely in July)
