Keys for Hope, a spin-off of the Crisis Ministries charity, is holding a month-long key drive with collections throughout the Holy City.
The organization, which was created by children from Mt. Pleasant, are collecting old and unwanted keys for their recycling and fundraising project benefiting Charleston’s homeless. The keys will be “hand-designed and decorated to be worn as necklaces, key chains, backpack charms, and even used as gift tags, stocking stuffers, teacher gifts and ornaments.” A donation of $5 per key is also suggested.
Key donations will continue throughout February and collection locations can be found at:
