The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) is proud to announce the awards for the Holiday Festival of Lights’ annual Giant Greeting Card Competition. All entries in this school art competition are on display in Santa’s Village during the event, which runs nightly through Dec. 31 at James Island County Park.
This year, the Giant Greeting Card Competition has 35 entries on display from Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester County student groups in elementary, middle and high school divisions. Each of the top three schools in each division received a plaque and cash award to use for their school arts program. Entries are on display in Santa’s Village. CCPRC is very pleased to recognize the efforts and creativity of the winning schools in the 2023 competition:
Elementary School Division:
1st Place: James Island Elementary School
2nd Place: The Island School
3rd Place: Porter-Gaud Lower School
Middle School Division:
1st Place: Summerville Catholic School
2nd Place: C.E. Williams Middle – North Campus
3rd Place: Camp Road Middle School
High School Division:
1st Place: All Booked
2nd Place: Classical Conversations-Challenge III
3rd Place: First Baptist High School
