The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) today announced the awards for the Holiday Festival of Lights’ annual Giant Greeting Card Competition. All entries in this school art competition are on display in Santa’s Village during the event, which runs nightly through Dec. 31 at James Island County Park.
This year, the Giant Greeting Card Competition has 44 entries on display from Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester County student groups in elementary, middle and high school divisions. Each of the top three schools in each division received a plaque and cash award to use for their school arts program.
Elementary School Division:
- 1st Place: Murray LaSaine Montessori
- 2nd Place: James Island Christian School
- 3rd Place: The Island School
Middle School Division:
- 1st Place: Camp Road Middle
- 2nd Place: C.E. Williams North Campus
- 3rd Place: Summerville Catholic School
High School Division:
- 1st Place: All Booked homeschool co-op
- 2nd Place: First Baptist High
- 3rd Place: Crown Leadership Academy
