Members of the Charleston County School District (CCSD) Health Advisory Committee (HAC) today announced that they are suing five members of the Board of Trustees individually, the board as a group, and the Charleston County School District. The law firm of Willey, Poulin & Anastopoulo filed the suit on Friday.
Pamela McKinney, Carlotte Bailey, Keith Grybowski, Ed Kelley, and Leah Whatley are the individual board members that have named as defendants in the suit.The lawsuit alleges that the board violated the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), CCSD board policies, and HAC policies. The lawsuit claims the aforementioned members of the CCSD board illegally terminated and replaced members of the HAC on September 25th.
