Christiana (Nani) Gilliland I am proud and excited to announce that Holy City Sinner with be joining forces with the Old Whaling Company and The Orange Spot Coffeehouse this Saturday to raise money for a local woman in need.
Last July, I wrote about Christiana (Nani) Gilliland, a Wando High School graduate who had been diagnosed with Metastatic Neuroendocrine Sarcoma. Despite having insurance, not all of the costs of Nani’s treatments were going to be covered. The family began accepting donations and her mother set up a Facebook page to update everyone on Nani’s journey.
Cha Yen The family’s latest update seemed to strike a cord with many of my readers – including April from the Old Whaling Company.
To make a long story short, the three entities listed above decided to sell the Old Whaling Company’s organic, handcrafted soap during the 10th Annual St. Paddy’s Day Block Party & Parade in Park Circle this Saturday!
In between your green beers and corned beef and cabbage, you can visit Julie and Laura (11 am – 8 pm) at The Orange Spot’s table on Chateau Ave. near The Sparrow. April and myself will be there at varying times as well.
Besides delicious and refreshing drinks, we will also be selling the aforementioned handmade soap and accepting donations for Nani. Plus, proceeds from the soap will also be donated – so be sure to come see us and pick some up!
The scents/types available will be:
- Castile Baby Bar
- Castile Shaving Bar
- Blueberry Bar
- Cucumber Bar
- Honeysuckle Bar
- Lilac Bar
- Organic Apple
- Peppermint & Tea Tree Bar (which I’m told is great for hangovers)
- Raspberry Bar
- Rose Bar (selected for VIP gift baskets at the Emerging Designer Show during Charleston Fashion Week)
- Shea Butter Bar
Meanwhile, The Orange Spot will have their signature cha yen, iced coffee and fresh strawberry soda
available for purchase – not to mention a few “Follow Me To The Spot” t-shirts will also be for sale. Plus, their table will be right by their soon-to-be-opened store location. Please come visit us while you are celebrating the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in Park Circle! We would love to see you! Support your local businesses, as well as a local in need! If you can’t make it, feel free to donate to Nani here. For more information:
