This Saturday, The Gin Joint will host its first ever guest bartender – The Dewberry’s beverage director, Ryan Casey. The cocktail hotspot will open at 3 pm, but the guest bartender will start at 4 pm.
Casey will mix cocktails alongside The Gin Joint's bar manager, James Bolt. The menu will include libations created by both and the bar’s signature Bartender’s Choice section where guests order their beverage using just two adjectives.
The Dewberry is a hotel that is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2016 in the old Federal Building, a mid-century landmark overlooking Marion Square. Casey previously worked behind the bars of Fig, McCrady's, and Edmund's Oast. In 2014, he was named one of Food & Wine‘s “Best New Mixologists.”
