Charleston Animal Society is facing a life-threatening emergency because the shelter is out of room to care for homeless dogs and we need the community to help right now.
“We're at a breaking point and we urgently need the public to adopt a homeless dog this weekend,” said Charleston Animal Society Vice President of Operations and Strategy Aldwin Roman, CAWA.

Charleston Animal Society is also immediately suspending all adult dog intakes, including owner surrenders, until this crisis is resolved.
Internet sensations @aguyandagolden will be featuring Charleston Animal Society this weekend in their viral “Shelter Saturday” segment across social media in an effort to draw attention to the urgent need.
Charleston Animal Society is located at 2455 Remount Road in North Charleston. The shelter is open for adoptions from 10am to 5pm on weekends and noon to 5pm on weekdays. Adoptable animals can be viewed online at CharlestonAnimalSociety.org/
